I went to the Inglis Ready2Race sale with one mission and to purchase one horse only; and I got him!
This ripping colt breezed up over 200m’s in a very quick 10.59 seconds, great speed for a young horse who is only learning his trade. He possesses size, (16.1hh 500kg’s), scope, a wonderful stride length and walks with real “swagger”.
Rising sire, Zousain, has already produced Stakes winners and place getters from his first crop, headlined by impressive filly Drifting. A dual Group 3 winner, picking up the Magic Night Stakes (Rosehill) at 2, and backing that up by winning the Quezette at Caulfield at 3.
The mare, Anuket, is a mare that just “does the job”! She’s had 6 foals to race, producing 6 winners, including city winner Lady Shenanigans. Another one of her offspring is Bring Me The Bling (4th in the Listed Fernhill Hcp.) who is the dam of our own rocket, Agirlsbestfriend!
The colt will be trained by John Thompson of Randwick. John has just chalked up his 1000th winner, a phenomenal feat in a very tough industry! The last time I purchased a horse from the Ready2Race sale and gave it to John to train, was a horse called Crafty Eagle. Crafty has had 4 wins and 4 placings from only 14 starts and has won $218,000 in prize money! This young Zousain colt reminded me so much of the Eagle, I just had to buy him!
